Guide 1: Easy creation of a HTML picture index

This guide shows you the easiest case how to create a HTML picture index using default settings.

Hint: You can zoom the pictures by clicking them.

Step 1
	Choose the directory which contains the pictures you want to index.

Step 2

Now go to the user menu and choose one of the presets. A preset contains all necessary settings from the options dialog. The presets are optimized for a speacial case. Choose something beginning with "picture". Here I have choosen a preset with a limited number of pictures per page. If CD2HTML finds more pictures then one page can contain CD2HTML creates the necessary number of pages. You can then jump from one page to each other.

Step 3
	By pressing the start button CD2HTML will begin to search for pictures. By doing this CD2HTML collects also a number of additional informations like the picture dimensions and the number of colors.

Step 4
	After finishing the search, you can see a listview of all collected images. By doubleclicking on an image you can get and set additional values, such as e.g. a comment.

Step 5
	With the HTML preview you can get a fast preview of the created HTML page. Now you can change some options or you can select a different preset if you want. (Hint: By repeating step 2 and reloading the preview page you can preview the scanned files with a different preset/layout).

Step 6
	Ok, that's it. Save the result and you can publish yout pictures on the net or burn it on CD. But be careful that you save the index on the same drive the indexed pictures are. In the other case CD2HTML can't create relative HTML pathes (the links to the files will contain a drive letter). If you want to publish it on the net be careful to create relative paths!
