Guide 2: Create a MP3- index in HTML using a different layout than the standard one
This guide shows you how to create a MP3 HTML index. The first steps are similar the first guide, but here you will then change the HTML template.
Hint: You can zoom the pictures by clicking them.
| Step 1 |
Similar to guide 1 you have to choose the folder where the files you want to scan are located (in this case MP3 musik files). Afterwards choose the MP3- Search from the user menu. Then click on Start.
| Step 2 |
When CD2HTML has finished the search you can see a listview of the MP3 files the program has found. By doubleclicking on en entry you get a detail dialog where you can get and set fileinformations. Here we have MP3 files and so you can change the additional informations provided by the ID3 tag.
| Step 3 |
With the HTML preview you can get a fast preview of the created HTML page. Now you can change some options or you can select a different preset if you want. Now we have the case that you want to change the layout. The next steps will show you how to do this.
| Step 4 |
Open the options dialog. Here you can change a lot of settings (e.g. what files to search, what template to use when creating HTML pages or some picture settings).
| Step 5 |
Now go to tag HTML I. Here you can change the HTML template by choosing a different one (here we choose a ready template provided by CD2HTML, you can also create your own templates). Here you can see that CD2HTML will create one HTML page. The layout name is mp3 - full details.html.
| Step 6 |
Choose the layout mp3 - full details 2.html. Leave the options dialog by pressing Ok. All settings will now be permanent saved.
| Step 7 |
Actualize the preview by pressing reload. Now you can see the changes. Afterwards you can save the result like step 6 in guide 1.
